Just think about how good it feels to walk in the forest, along the beach and stand in the sun on a clear day. Everyone loves to be next to the water and walk along the beach. Water holds and concentrates Qi energy and we feel rejuvenated just by looking out the window at the trees and the water. This is nature increasing the vibration of our personal energy and healing us.
The only way to extend our lives, is to supplement the Qi we were born with through the air we breathe and the food we eat. We conserve our life force by the way we live. Being in nature supplies energy directly to our lungs, especially when the air is clean. Eating a traditional diet focused on natural, not processed, whole not modified, as well as fresh and local, ensures a good vibration in the food we eat.
Once we feed ourselves energy, it is important that we try to conserve and concentrate that acquired Post Heaven Qi. Our hands are a source of healing energy and there are powerful energy sources at the base of the skull to the third eye, in the centre of the chest and just below the navel and into the lower back. You an use your hands or finger tips to tap on acupuncture points or whole meridians You can also use your fingers to locate, press and hold the points. This is called acupressure. Swinging the arms front to back while hitting the area below the navel and then then lower back, repeatedly, combined with visualization and chanting, is effective in waking up the core centre for the whole body.
Where Qi fails to flow, there is disfunction and pain. Getting Qi to flow properly is the essence of wellness. Qigong is an ancient Chinese therapeutic movement that focuses on Qi energy. “Qi” stands for the qi energy that is being cultivated and “Gong” means mastery. The guided movements and controlled breathing are designed to keep specific meridian channels open and clear. It can be combined with mediation, massage, sound and focused intent.
