Just think about how good it feels to walk in the forest, along the beach and stand in the sun on a clear day. Sitting in the sun every day, just for a few moments can alleviate depression. Everyone loves to be next to the water and walk along the beach. Water holds and concentrates qi energy and we feel rejuvenated just by looking out the window at the trees and the water. This is nature increasing the vibration of our personal energy and healing us.

The quote "Where qi flows, there is health" is a core principle in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). It emphasizes that the smooth and harmonious flow of Qi (life force) is essential for well-being. When Qi is balanced and flowing freely, the body is healthy. Conversely, blockages or imbalances in Qi flow are believed to lead to pain and disease. The only way to extend our lives, is to supplement the qi we were born with through the air we breathe and the food we eat.

We conserve our life force (pre-heaven qi) by the way we live. Being in nature supplies high energy directly to our lungs especially when the air is clean. I believe salt air has a higher vibration because as a food, good natural salt has lots of minerals and is considered a high energy food. Therefore supplementing our qi in this way, ensures we have enough to guard against blockages dues to "low qi flow volume".

Eating a traditional diet focused on natural, not processed, whole not modified, as well as fresh and local, ensures a good vibration in the food we eat. High energy foods are fresh and natural fruit, herbs, vegetables, spices, nuts and oils. Plants in particular have spent their lives converting the sun's rays, the air and the minerals of the earth from nothing into something pretty spectacular.

Being in tune with your body and the messages it is sending you helps you to adjust to a healthier lifestyle. The more we pay attention to the body's messages and respond to them, the better we will be at alleviating the symptoms of disease before they become a problem. Where there is pain or discomfort we know that there is something affecting the flow of qi in a particular area.

Once we feed ourselves qi-energy, it is important that we try to conserve and concentrate that acquired post heaven qi. We can only digest well when we are happy, calm and thinking good thoughts. Qigong helps pull more energy from our surroundings. Then slow, deep breathing helps us make more efficient use of it. In this way we can maximize the food and air to give us the most nutrients.
